ART AS SONG, SONG AS ART — JUMP FIRST THURSDAY

Ever wanted to hear what a painting sounds like? Now’s your chance.

I’ll be at JUMP on December 4th for "Art as Song, Song as Art", a really unique collaboration between local artists and songwriters. I have two paintings in the show, and each artwork is paired with original music. While there, you just scan the QR code and listen. Some of the musicians will be performing live too, including my painting's

inspiration song, "Mountain Biking"!

It’s free, all-ages, and a fun one to bring friends to.

December 4th, 5–8:30 PM at JUMP. Performances begin at 5:30.

COLUMBIA VILLAGE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR & SANTA VISIT

A cozy neighborhood holiday bazaar… and yes, Santa will be there.

On December 6th I’ll be a vendor at the Columbia Village Christmas Bazaar, and this one is extra special because it’s truly a neighborhood event. Every vendor is hyper-local... makers, artists, and creatives who live right here in my community.

It’s small, friendly, and a wonderful way to support your neighbors who are out here creating things by hand. Bring the whole family (admission is free!), grab some cocoa and cookies, and pop in to say "hi".

December 6, 10 AM–2 PM at the Columbia Village Rec Center - 3655 E Lake Forest Dr (Boise)

Santa visits from 11:30–1:30 PM.

ARTIST RECEPTION AT GARDEN PLAZA OF VALLEY VIEW

Over 40 original watercolor paintings in one place. Come see them and visit with me on the 10th!

On December 1st, I spent the whole day hanging more than 40 original watercolor paintings at Garden Plaza of Valley View... definitely my largest collection on display this year! The show includes pieces from my Walk the Lines series, my Elemental series, portraits, Idaho landmarks, landscapes, and more. It’s a beautiful venue, and the staff couldn’t be kinder.

HOLIDAY MARKET AT ART SOURCE GALLERY

Looking for gifts that don’t come from a big-box store or ship from across the world? Come see what real humans made!

Art Source Gallery’s Holiday Market is one of my favorite parts of the season, more than 40 Idaho artists under one roof, all creating one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t find anywhere else. As one of those artists, I’ll have my little birds, specifically the Northern Cardinals. They’re not Idaho natives, but they mean so much to so many people this time of year that I can’t resist painting them.

I’ve included a link to a behind-the-scenes video so you can see how these tiny watercolor birds come together. It's a big process for such a little painting!

Shop the Holiday Market anytime between now and December 24th, but come celebrate First Thursday on December 4, 5–9 PM at Art Source Gallery (1516 W Grove St). There will be wine, snacks, live music, good company, and lots of handmade treasures.

INCREDIBLE IDAHO WOMEN — THE BOOK IS HERE!

A project I couldn’t be prouder of! Looking for a meaningful Idaho-made gift? This book is my top pick.

If you’re shopping for something truly meaningful this season, I’m so proud to recommend the new book Incredible Idaho Women: 43 Inspiring Stories for All Ages, published by BoiseDev. I had the honor of illustrating four portraits for the book, including Senator Cheri Buckner-Webb, the first African American woman elected to the Idaho Legislature. Her story (and so many others in this book) still gives me goosebumps.

The entire project was created by Idaho artists and writers, and for every book purchased, a second copy is donated to a school, library, nonprofit, or child in need. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate Idaho’s history, art, and the women who helped shape our state.
